Key Points

The research aims to analyze the organization of traditional Chinese musical vocabulary in the background music for the Liyue region in Genshin Impact.
Three analytical dimensions were established: tonality and melody, sound color and orchestration, form and structure.
Official audio sources and score materials were compared for analysis.
The analysis focused on how these elements interact within the music.
Liyue uses a pentatonic scale centered on C and introduces limited heterophony to enhance tonal color.
Contrasting sound colors are achieved through the functional layering of Chinese folk instruments and Western orchestration.
A 3-part structure organizes the progression and tension through exposition, transition, and expansion.
