Analyzes governance and management in a sports federation, suggesting improvements for the organization.
This study analyzes the governance and management processes within the Royal Moroccan Federation of School Sports (FRMSS), aiming to foster critical reflection on the organization, operation, management practices, and promotion of school sports. The topic is motivated by the multifaceted roles of school sports (educational, athletic, cultural, and social) and its crucial role in developing civil sports, as well as its growing national and international influence. To address this, data will be collected from governing bodies responsible for school sports, complemented by a focused literature review of relevant theoretical frameworks. Additionally, interviews will be conducted with key stakeholders and partners involved in the sector. The first part of the study presents the conceptual foundations of school sports, outlining its objectives, missions, and core values. This review is followed by an analysis of governance models and management styles applied in school sports organizations. The second part is devoted to an empirical investigation, where data collected from the FRMSS will be analyzed to provide insights into current practices. This will serve as a basis for proposing practical recommendations and identifying areas for improvement within the federation’s governance and management.
