Technical report outlines an ISRU architecture for Titan, focusing on methane acquisition and handling systems.
This technical report presents a conceptual lander-scale in-situ resource utilization architecture for Titan, centered on a Cryogenic Methane Acquisition Gate designed to acquire, isolate, filter, phase-separate, and transfer methane-rich liquid or wet sediment material from Titan-like surface environments. The work is intended as an early-stage engineering reference for future studies involving Titan surface resource acquisition, cryogenic fluid handling, methane-centered mission concepts, and lander-scale ISRU system packaging. The report includes a proposed system architecture, operational concept, conceptual packaging sketch, and discussion of assumptions, limitations, and future work.
