Supporting Trust in Research Practices

This poster and abstract explore mechanisms that support trust in research practices and the trustworthiness of research infrastructures. Building on survey and interview data from researchers and data scientists, the work examines how trust in data quality is shaped by factors such as documentation, transparency, reputation, complexity, and quality assessment practices in the context of open source software and data reuse. New 2026 findings highlight differences between data sharing and reuse practices, the reliance on perceived quality indicators, and the role of knowledge and skills in establishing trust.
