Energy sources are of great importance in the policies of industrialized countries, and given that the Gulf of Guinea region is rich in energy sources and mineral resources, China’s foreign policy has witnessed a clear development, especially after 2013, as China began to focus on strengthening its presence in the region, and it has increased its efforts in the region. It expanded the scope of its cooperation with countries in that region with the aim of consolidating relations, because due to the increasing Chinese economic growth, Chinese policy began to search for new regions to ensure the security of its resources and the continued growth of its economy.
