This article examines how Latin American regionalism has responded to increasing geopolitical uncertainty, particularly since the first Trump administration. Adopting the framework of liquid regionalism, the study analyses the impact of unilateral and transactional approaches on regional organizations such as UNASUR and Mercosur. The methodological approach includes qualitative analysis of institutional responses across the region. Findings suggest that these organizations have struggled to maintain cohesion and actorness in a fragmented global order, as external pressures intensified regional vulnerabilities. The discussion highlights how shifting power dynamics and weakened multilateral commitments have challenged regional solidarity and identity. The article contributes to a broader understanding of how regional institutions adapt to crises and navigate instability in a context of global polycrisis.
