The subject of this study is the concept of «color trend» as it is examined within the framework of scientific discourse and its evolution in Russian-language publications over the past ten years. Despite the prevalence of this term in various fields of activity, its semantic boundaries and substantive content remain blurred and insufficiently defined. The aim of the study is to identify and systematize semantic models for constructing the concept of "color trend" based on a retrospective analysis of scientific publications, as well as to determine trends in the transformation of its substantive focus. The empirical base of the study consisted of Russian-language scientific publications indexed in the Russian electronic library eLibrary.Ru for the period 2015-2025. The study was conducted in three stages: empirical, including the formation of a corpus of texts with subsequent chronological, geographical, and disciplinary cross-sections; interpretive, aimed at a qualitative analysis of the semantic content of the concept; systematizing, generalizing the data for the construction of a definition. To achieve the research objective, the study utilized bibliometric analysis, content analysis, discourse analysis, and typology. The results demonstrate the interdisciplinary nature of the concept of «color trend», which is used in fields ranging from design and fashion to economics, marketing, and psychology. Five models of concept construction were identified during the interpretive stage: cultural-symbolic, design-technological, economic-managerial, predictive-analytical, and visual-psychological. The systematization stage confirmed the formation of a stable structural core for the concept, which, originating in applied design, has been consistently enriched through integration with cultural studies, marketing, digital science, and the psychology of perception. Based on an analysis of the semantic content presented in publications, the author proposes a definition of the concept. The article's conclusions demonstrate the sustainable dynamics of the substantive and disciplinary expansion of the concept of «color trend»: interdisciplinary synthesis does not lead to the erosion of its conceptual core, but, on the contrary, strengthens its universal, strategically significant attributes. The retrospective analysis proposed in the article captures the substantive boundaries of the term and forms a structural basis for professional decisions in various areas of contemporary culture.
