This article proposes a method to calculate the degree of fluctuation of the curve on the variation of the voltage with respect to the real power in steady state of a power system, with the purpose of analyzing the dynamics of the voltage, using the fractal dimension, which is a quantitative estimator of spatial complexity. Conventional methods for the analysis of voltage stability in power systems have not studied this variable, being a new parameter that can be included in the reference study. It is then a new contribution that expands universal knowledge on the subject.
