Abstract

A 25-year-old woman had a brownish, raised lesion on her thigh that had been there for 6 months without any symptoms.A solitary brownish papule, measuring 0.4 cm 0.3 cm, was found over the right lateral part of the mid-thigh upon cutaneous examination Figure 1a.e patient showed a picture she had taken with her phone during cross-examination.A well-to-ill-defined targetoid lesion of size 2.5 cm 2 cm, a central papule with a reddish halo, was seen over the thigh in the photograph Figure 1b.Dermatofibroma, mastocytoma, and hemangioma were retained as differentials and sent for histopathological examination. 1e histology report showed the periappendageal dilated vascular regions and thin walled vessels lined with a single layer of cells with noticeable hobnail nuclei Figure 2a andb.us, the final diagnosis of hobnail hemangioma was made.
