This article examines the growing potential of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered decision support systems (DSS) in the field of education management. Drawing on recent international research, UNESCO policy frameworks, and emerging practices from both developed and developing nations, the study analyzes how AI technologies—including predictive analytics, adaptive learning platforms, and intelligent administrative automation—can transform decision-making processes at the institutional, regional, and national levels. Particular attention is given to the experience of Uzbekistan, which has adopted a National AI Strategy until 2030 and launched large-scale digital education initiatives. The article identifies key opportunities, ethical challenges, and practical recommendations for integrating AI-driven decision-making tools into education management systems while preserving the central role of human judgment and leadership.
