This study examines the increasing necessity for digital transformation in Indonesia's book publishing industry in response to changing consumer behavior and technological development. It explores how publishers adapt to these changes using a qualitative case study approach with source triangulation involving in-depth interviews with stakeholders. The findings reveal five key phases of digital transformation: assessing current conditions, adopting digital technologies, shifting business models, developing human resource capabilities, and optimizing performance. These challenges include resistance to change and low digital literacy. This study emphasizes the importance of flexible business models and collaboration among stakeholders to succeed in the digital era.The novelty of this study lies in proposing a digital transformation model tailored to the Indonesian publishing context, incorporating principles from mediamorphosis theory. This model offers practical guidance for publishers to address digital challenges and contributes to the literature on innovation, particularly in vocational education. This study serves as a strategic reference for publishers and academics in formulating effective responses to digital disruptions.
