Treatment with tropomyosin before fixation of tobacco BY-2 cells with aldehydes improved the preservation of actin filaments in the cells and enabled us to visualize fine networks of both cortical actin filaments and cortical microtubules in the same interphase cells by the double staining technique using rhodamine phalloidin and antitubulin antibodies.
