Restenosis after CEA was associated with better stroke-free survival; hypothesis-generating and should not yet change practice.
Does carotid restenosis predict an increased risk of late symptoms, stroke, or death in patients after carotid endarterectomy?
Paradoxically, patients with carotid restenosis after endarterectomy were less likely to experience late symptoms, stroke, or early death compared to those with normal postoperative scans.
