Conceptual Framework for the Development of Digital Ecosystems in the Modern Economy in the Context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

The article is devoted to the study of the development of such a direction of the digital economy as digital ecosystems. The authors analyze the existing prerequisites for the formation of ecosystems. Some types of existing large ecosystems are considered. The author’s definition of the terms «digital ecosystem» and «digital platform» is formed. The structure and main types of modern digital platforms are analyzed, and the key tools for their development are identified. Special attention is paid to the organizational structure and architecture of digital ecosystems.
