Abstract Nanotechnology improves the physical and biological characteristics of conventional dental materials, it has had a major impact on dentistry, especially prosthodontics. Nanoparticles enhance functionality, strength, and biocompatibility due to their distinct surface properties. Thanks to the early vision of Richard P. Feynman, nanotechnology is now driving advancements in oral health care, such as nanocomposites and nanorobotics. The role of recent developments in nanometals, nanoceramics, and nanoresins in enhancing material performance and their potential for future prosthodontic applications is highlighted in this review.
