Subungual wart with nail defects presents a therapeutic challenge in dermatology. Conventional treatments such as topical medications, cryotherapy, and laser therapy often yield suboptimal outcomes and are associated with high recurrence rates. This report describes the successful management of a refractory case of subungual wart with nail defects using electrocautery-assisted photodynamic therapy (PDT).
