Trifecta, Perimount, and Mosaic valves yield comparable LV mass regression despite differing hemodynamic profiles.
Why the study?
In the absence of long-term follow-up for aortic bioprostheses, comparing their hemodynamic profiles and associated left ventricular reverse remodeling provides useful surrogate outcomes.
Do Mosaic, Perimount, and Trifecta aortic bioprostheses differ in hemodynamic profile and left ventricular reverse remodeling?

Do Mosaic, Perimount, and Trifecta aortic bioprostheses differ in hemodynamic profile and left ventricular reverse remodeling?
Despite differences in hemodynamic profiles among Mosaic, Perimount, and Trifecta aortic bioprostheses, all three valves provide comparable left ventricular reverse remodeling.

Hemodynamic differences need not guide bioprosthesis selection for remodeling goals; confirms comparable left ventricular mass regression across valves.
Kalogerakos et al. (2019) conducted a systematic review in Aortic bioprosthesis implantation (n=2,456). Mosaic, Perimount, and Trifecta aortic bioprostheses vs. Comparison among the three valves was evaluated on Hemodynamic profile (transvalvular mean pressure gradient and effective orifice area indexed) and left ventricular reverse remodeling indexed. Although the Trifecta valve is hemodynamically superior and the Mosaic inferior compared to the Perimount valve, left ventricular mass regression was comparable across all three bioprostheses.
