Fatigue failure of drill pipe joints represents a primary challenge for short‐radius sidetrack horizontal wells, arising from high curvature and complex wellbore loading conditions. To address this issue, this study integrates theoretical mechanical analysis with three‐dimensional nonlinear finite element simulation to establish a multiparameter fatigue life prediction model incorporating curvature radius, material properties, and dynamic loading. The model was calibrated using field test data to ensure reliability. Simulation comparisons indicate that G105 steel drill pipes are suitable for curvature radii of 15–27 m, while TC4 drill pipes with integral joints are suitable for radii of 27–30 m; TC4 drill pipes with jointed connections are suitable for radii of 27–30 m. G105 steel drill pipes are not recommended for such ultrashort‐radius conditions. This study provides explicit selection guidelines, filling a critical gap in the quantitative assessment of drill pipes for high‐curvature wells.
