Develops a high-performance anode for sodium-ion batteries, suggesting improved storage capabilities.
The development of anode materials with high capacity and excellent structural stability is key to promoting the practical application of sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). In this study, carbon confined‐CoSe 2 /Co 12 P 7 nanosphere (C‐CoSe 2 /Co 12 P 7 ) derived from a P‐doped Co‐MOF (CoBDC(PPh 3 )) is synthesized via a one‐step carbonization‐selenization process. This strategy utilizes the synergistic effect of the composite structure and the conductive buffering effect of carbon coating, addressing the key performance limitations of transition metal compound anodes. As an anode material for SIBs, the prepared C‐CoSe 2 /Co 12 P 7 nanocomposite exhibits excellent rate performance (specific capacity of 352.9 mAh·g −1 at 5.0 A g −1 ) and cycle stability (80.4% of capacity retention after 3000 cycles at 5.0 A g −1 ), simultaneously. Through precise precursor engineering, this work develops an innovative and facile strategy for synthesizing high‐performance anode materials for SIBs.
