Validation and psychometric properties of the Italian environmental Self-Efficacy Scale Short (ESE-10)

Abstract Research into sustainable consumption has grown significantly over the last decade. The aim of this paper is to adapt the original Environmental Self-Efficacy Short scale (ESE-10; Moeller TLI = 0.995; RMSEA = 0.046; SRMR = 0.021). Furthermore, both Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega indicate excellent internal consistency of the Italian ESE-9 scale. Therefore, the results suggest that the Italian ESE-9 scale is a reliable tool for assessing environmental self-efficacy in the Italian population.
