This research paper presents a structured approach to profitability scenario analysis in air cargo network planning using a dynamic Excel–VBA decision support model. The study focuses on comparing the profitability of different cargo routes under varying conditions by applying a flexible and data-driven analytical framework. The model enables systematic evaluation of multiple route scenarios, allowing planners to assess performance variations and make informed decisions for network planning and optimization. The research further provides in-depth analysis for operational optimization by examining profit and loss outcomes across different scenarios in air cargo operations. By facilitating scenario comparison and sensitivity analysis, the model enhances visibility into route-level performance and supports strategic decision-making in a dynamic environment. This work contributes a practical and scalable solution for improving efficiency, profitability assessment, and decision support in air cargo network management.
