The article also examines the challenges faced by the fuel and energy complex in the context of global changes, such as climate change, depletion of natural resources and increasing competition in the global energy market. Special attention is paid to environmental sustainability and the transition to renewable energy sources, which is becoming increasingly relevant in the context of international commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The analysis includes an assessment of the impact of government and international policy decisions on the development of the fuel and energy sector, as well as consideration of economic diversification strategies aimed at reducing dependence on energy exports. An important aspect of the study is to examine the role of investments in infrastructure modernization and the introduction of new technologies, which can improve the efficiency and safety of production processes. In conclusion, it is emphasized that the successful development of the fuel and energy complex requires an integrated approach that takes into account economic, environmental and social aspects. Only if all these factors are integrated can we ensure the sustainable development of the industry and increase its competitiveness in the global market.
