An adiabatic calorimeter was used to measure the enthalpy of fusion of a very pure sample of gallium. The new value of the enthalpy of fusion was determined to be ΔfusH = 80.097 ± 0.032 J·g-1, where the uncertainty corresponded to a 95% confidence interval. A comparison with previous determinations is made.
