Onconova is an open‑source, modular platform designed to standardize oncology data capture, accelerate real-word evidence generation and interoperable collaboration. Developed and piloted at the University Hospital of Zurich, it offers a web‑based interface for structured data capture and exploratory data analysis and cohort construction. In two years, it recorded >1000 cases, supporting multiple studies while maintaining data quality, privacy, and reproducibility. User feedback confirmed feasibility of real‑world structured data collection and low error rates. Overall, it provides a lightweight, standards‑compliant framework for collaborative, reproducible precision-oncology research.
