The polarized neutron technique has been used to study the spatial dependence of the induced magnetization in the alloy Ce0.736Th0.264 in both the γ and α phases. In the γ phase we observe a susceptibility in good agreement with bulk susceptibility measurements and with a Q dependence characteristic of Ce3+. In the α phase a different Q dependence is observed which may be caused by a contribution to the susceptibility by the conduction electrons.
