The study examines urban connectivity in the Samara region, proposing improvements for economic space development.
The article examines the connectivity and asymmetry of economic space development using the example of the Samara region. The authors of the article eliminated the limitations of A. Scheffle's gravity model by adding additional factors and determinants, which significantly improved the analysis of urban connectivity. The expediency of taking into account four types of interactions that determine connectivity at the level of different cities in the Samara region is substantiated. Thus, a matrix of determinants of intraregional interaction has been formed, and a system of indicators has been proposed for calculating an integral indicator of intraregional connectivity at the level of the epicenters of the economic space. As a result of the research, recommendations have been developed to increase the connectivity of cities in the economic space of the Samara region, taking into account the specifics of each of them.
