It is worth noting thah this business is expanding not only in Moscow and St. Peterburg but also in the regions. The authors examine the factors, volume dynamics, and market structure of the vending industry, categorized by product type and federal district. A characteristic feature of the Russian vending market is a marked imbalance across product categories. There are vending segments that have not yet been developed even in major cities, confirming the existence of untapped niches in specific areas. A regional analysis of global vending machine market statistics is presented. Based on the study’s findings, the authors discuss potential new models of consumer interaction based on vending.
