Demonstrates improved soil monitoring using IoT in agriculture, supporting precision farming.
The soil testing device using IoT project focuses on the implementation of an intelligent soil analysis system capable of monitoring important soil properties in real time. The system integrates a 7-in-1 RS485 soil sensor with an Arduino Nano/ESP32 controller to obtain parameters such as soil moisture, pH, temperature, electrical conductivity, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels. The measured values are processed and displayed digitally, allowing farmers to assess soil conditions directly on-site without depending on laboratory analysis. The proposed system also includes a crop suggestion feature that recommends suitable crops and fertilizer guidance according to the detected soil characteristics. By combining sensor-based monitoring with automated analysis, the system improves accuracy, minimizes human effort, and supports precision agriculture techniques for better productivity and sustainable farming.
