The article discusses the concept of “the spatiotemporal model of the influence of environmental and eco-cultural protest on the use of urban space” and its theoretical components. The main objective of the research is to identify the spatiotemporal models of the impact of protest on the use of the urban space of Leningrad—St. Petersburg. Keyword research is the foundation of the factual basis of environmental and eco-cultural conflicts and their analysis. The analysis used the theory of the “center-periphery” projected onto urban space. It was found that environmental and eco-cultural protest form a special structural use of urban space that can become the context of possible conflict resolution between the participants of protest activities. The article also provides practical recommendations for sound policies on the use of urban space. Refs 16. Figs 3. Tables 3.
