The article examines the legal basis and prospects for the introduction of the digital ruble into the national payment system. The author studies the digital ruble Project developed by the Bank of Russia, and also analyzes the Bill submitted to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on the introduction of the digital ruble. The article analyzes the relationship between the concepts of digital ruble and digital currency, and also proposes to classify the digital ruble into the category of digital rights.
