Molecular design of phosphors enhances efficiency and stability in blue organic light-emitting diodes.
The cover image depicts the molecular design of N‐heterocyclic carbene‐based tetradentate Pt(II) phosphors for blue OLEDs. Rigid Pt(II) frameworks enable narrowband blue emission and high color purity, while steric and electronic tuning suppress intermolecular interactions, enhance 3 MLCT character, shorten excited‐state lifetimes, and improve device efficiency and stability. Details are in the article by Mingi Kim, Chan Hee Ryu, and Kang Mun Lee .
