Randomized trial identifies key internal factors affecting performance in micro and small enterprises, suggesting improvements are needed.
The purpose of this study was to identify internal factors affecting Micro and Small Enterprises performance in case of Robe City. Both descriptive and explanatory research design were used in the study. The data were collected from 318 members of selected MSEs Robe City. Further, the data collected from 9 MSEs managers and 4 team leaders of selected sample office. Both primary and secondary data source were used to collect data. Closed-ended questionnaires along with interviews were used for the purpose of data collection. The selections of the members carried out by using simple random sampling techniques, to avoided bias and also ensured. The quantitative data generated and analyzed with the help of Statistical Package for Social Sciences presented by using different tables, frequency, percentages, correlation and regression. The study found that marketing strategy is the most significant factor affect MSES performance followed by entrepreneur skill and managerial skills respectively, but job knowledge, human capital and financial factor has no significant effect on MSEs performance. Further, MSEs of Robe City advised to upgrade the education of members. MSEs of Robe City advised to continuously arrange training in MSEs for the Member’s. MSEs of Robe City advised to the manager expected to have knowledge and act efficiently in MSEs job. Management of MSEs of Robe City advised to have knowledge of diversity of the work get professions. MSEs of Robe City advised to make the interest rate by lending institutions are in normal level.4
