Observes frustration-density-wave configurations in a diamond lattice using nonlinear optimization, suggesting novel insights into entropic physics.
We perform nonlinear minimization of the Wilson plaquette action on a 4x4x4 diamond lattice supercell with SU(2) holonomies, subject to a gauge-invariant Wilson-loop constraint Tr(W_hex) <= W_max. Earlier attempts using edge-trace constraints were defeated by gauge bypass; the Wilson-loop constraint eliminates this possibility. With bypass blocked, the optimizer consistently finds spatially modulated frustration-density-wave configurations with 22-54% energy reduction relative to the uniform frustrated vacuum. The dominant Fourier mode (2,2,2) at |k| = 1.360 is consistent with the finite-momentum instability shell identified in the linear analysis. Multi-Q ordering emerges at looser constraints. A barrier of height 1.63 separates the frustrated and trivial sectors.
