Normal thymus cells were passed through anti‐mouse immunoglobulin‐coated columns, resulting in very pure T cells. These were then injected into irradiated semi‐allogeneic recipients, where they were transformed into educated, specifically cytotoxic cells. This demonstrated autonomy of T cells for their education in our experimental system.
