This study examines the impacts of climate change on women and persons with disabilities (PwDs) and explores the coping mechanisms adopted within climate-induced migrant communities in Bangladesh. Using primary data from 403 households in Sirajganj District, the findings reveal that rising temperatures and heat waves are the most frequent indicators of climate change, while waterlogging, flooding, and river erosion are the main environmental hazards. Natural disasters emerge as the leading cause of displacement, compelling many households to migrate and change their occupations. Women are more severely affected by climate stress through health issues, food insecurity, and housing loss, while PwDs face additional barriers due to limited mobility, weaker social support, and restricted access to healthcare and employment. Most households, with women and PwDs particularly disadvantaged, depend on short-term coping strategies, such as reducing food consumption, borrowing, or temporary migration, rather than long-term adaptive measures. The results emphasize the urgent need for targeted interventions that enhance livelihood opportunities, improve accessibility, and strengthen institutional support for building resilience among vulnerable communities.
