We estimate renormalization effects on σ_νσ_ν and 〈y〉_ν in the standard four-quark model, improving on a calculation by Altarelli, Petronzio, and Parisi. Even with systematic overestimates, the Weinberg-Salam model does not give a satisfactory account of the data.
