This paper examines two relatively uncomplicated algorithms for adaptively controlling a single-input single-output process admitting a continuous-time linear model with unknown parameters. It is shown that each algorithm is capable of causing a closed-loop process output to approach and track a suitably defined reference signal while at the same time providing global system stability.
