Implications of a minimally extended vectorlike theory of weak interactions are considered. In addition to explaining the rare radiative decay μ→e+γ, the model predicts a parity-nonconserving effect, in atomic systems of high Z, that is smaller by a factor of 10^-2 than the prediction of the Weinberg-Salam model, consistent with the present experimental trend. The model is compatible with all currently known experimental data.
