This paper considers the problems of estimating the mean, standard deviation, and quantiles for the logistic distribution. A large sample estimation procedure is utilized which employs the asymptotically best linear unbiased estimators based on sample quantiles. An approximate procedure for optimal spacing selection for the sample quantiles is presented and its properties are discussed.
