Meta-analysis analyzes injection therapy outcomes for plantar warts, suggesting effective treatments.
ObjectiveTo analyze the efficacy and safety of different injection drugs in the treatment of plantar warts.MethodsA comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wanfang Database. The search objects were randomized controlled trials of injection therapy for plantar warts. The search period was set from the establishment of each database to March 2025.ConclusionCurrent evidence shows that the complete remission rate of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor injection in the lesion is the highest, and it can be used as the first-line treatment for refractory plantar warts. However, attention should be paid to the local pain problem. Vitamin D injection causes mild pain and has definite efficacy, and it is suitable for patients who are sensitive to pain. Due to the limitations of the number and quality of included studies, the above conclusions still need to be verified by more high-quality and large-sample RCTs.
