Further Research on the Accuracy of Students' Self-Reported Grade Point Averages, Sat Scores, and Course Grades

Previous research indicates that, although students' self-reported and actual GPAs and SAT scores are correlated, on average, students overestimate these data. This study extended prior research by surveying 132 mostly upper-level students and by including other information (grades in selected prior course work). Our results provide further evidence that students overestimate their past academic achievements.
