A scheme whereby the control of malaria and bilharziasis is being attempted in Southern Rhodesia is described. The field teams, who are dual-purpose units, are employed throughout the whole year. Their staffs, transport, equipment and chemicals employed are discussed and the cost of the operations given. The details of the methods of application of BHC and copper sulphate in the control of malaria and bilharziasis, respectively, are given.
