UK's VET Policy and the ‘Third Way’: following a high skills trajectory or running up a dead end street?

This paper critiques current government policy described as a ''Third Way' in vocational education and training (VET). It argues that this approach to VET is likely to fail due to the competitive strategy, largely adopted in Britain, based on price rather than quality.
