This article deals with the submerged presence of an iron structure attributed to the African deity Exu in the port region of Salvador, Bahia structured by three analytical lines. The first presents an Archaeology of Black Religions capable of rescuing, by materiality, ritual processes and techniques developed in diasporic transit. The second line focuses on the epistemic triangulation between the archaeological context, the presence of open markets and the anthropic formation of the Água de Meninos cove in Salvador. The third line discusses the ritual of submerging Exu's assentamento on the bed of the Todos os Santos Bay and the invisible force of his presence.
