Geographical analysis examines agricultural land use patterns in Unnao District, suggesting influences from various factors.
Agriculture plays a very important role in the economic development of the country where 70 % of population is directly or indirectly depends on agriculture for their survival. Land is the important natural resource, which support evolution and development of all types of life on land. Land is a part of physical environment having different natural uses. But man, as equipped with his skill and know-how, is reshaping the uses of land. With the result, a variety of land use categories is seen in all parts of the world. There are two sets of limits which determine the pattern of land use in any particular region. First, the absolute or outer limits which are set by nature and second, the relative limit set by culture, human attitudes and actions which determine the range of actual and probable use within the limits (Zimmermann, 1951). In this paper an attempt has been made to analyse the agricultural land use pattern at micro level in Unnao District (1994-95 to 2014-15). This study is based on secondary data collected from secondary records. Agriculture production is influenced by physical, climatological, socio-economic, and technological organization factors.
