Cover feature reports the influence of azole structure on mineralization efficiency in UV-activated processes.
The Cover Feature indicates that complete mineralization of benzotriazole and 5-methylbenzotriazole is more effectively achieved via the peroxydisulfate (PDS) pathway, whereas triazole and pyrazole exhibit superior mineralization under peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. These results highlight that the molecular structure of azole compounds plays a critical role in determining mineralization efficiency in UV-based PDS and PMS processes.
