A hands-on approach to clinical nursing management of the resident with Alzheimer's Disease in the long-term care facility is presented. Stages of Alzheimer's Disease are outlined briefly. Meeting the resident's basic human needs and use of family support groups are described in detail. The authors hope that their observations can help staff to provide a better quality of life-for their residents.
