Presentation introduces a new archival information system using RiC standard, highlighting its advantages over traditional systems.
This presentation introduces docuteam context, a new Archival Information System (AIS) built natively on the Records in Contexts (RiC) standard. It outlines the limitations of legacy AIS solutions based on ISAD(G) and explains how RiC enables multi-hierarchical, relational archival description. The presentation covers the technical architecture of docuteam context (graph database, open standards, Linked Data), key conceptual innovations such as the Record/Instantiation distinction, and lessons learned from real-world migration projects. It also situates docuteam context within a broader ecosystem including digital preservation (docuteam cosmos) and online publication (docuteam sirius). Presented by Christian Moser and Tobias Wildi (docuteam AG) at the conference in Radenci on 20 May 2026.
