Describes a Monte Carlo study of two-dimensional directed site percolation. The authors show that the anisotropic behaviour resulting from the imposition of a directional bias must be accounted for in the finite-size scaling analysis of the Monte Carlo data if reliable results are to be obtained. Using suitably modified finite-size scaling, they obtain estimates for the percolation threshold Pc and the exponents nu P, nu R and beta which are in good agreement with results obtained by other methods.
