Maximum sensitivity and excellent suppression of the water signal is achieved in 3D triple‐resonance NMR experiments by the application of a heteronuclear gradient echo in phase‐modulating pulse sequences. This principle is demonstrated for an HNCO experiment applied to a complex of a uniformly 13 C/ 15 Nlabeled protein (calmodulin) and a peptide (C2OW).
